Heat Wave: Part One.
Together with my three other girlfriends from uni, we headed up north to have a fun and random photo shoot despite the scorching sun. We had planned for this trip a while back and it finally materialized. However, little did we know how hot it was actually going to be. The minute we stopped next to the field and got down the car, sweat already started dripping down our faces. It was crazily hot. I’m more than certain that if I had put an egg on the ground, it would’ve been cooked. Even so, that didn’t stop us from shifting all our props to under the tree – our only source of shade. After surveying the place a little, we started snapping away while the other two got their make-up done.
This is yours truly;
We only lasted for about 2 hours and then decided to call it a day because the sunlight was too harsh on the photos taken, which was quite a waste, plus the heat was rather unbearable as well. But in any case, we got quite a number of lovely shots, so it was all good. We sealed the day with a scrumptious meal of chicken rice at the town nearby which was located quite far away from the field we were at. It started to pour so we quickly rushed back into the car and soon, we were driving back home on the highway.
All in all, it was a fun-filled trip that had much adventure along the way. From the planning of the venue, to random conversations in the car, and finally, to burning in the field under the scorching sun, and driving back home – it was all so wonderful. Definitely a great start for the first week of holidays! Though I’m now busy applying some freshly cut aloe vera on my body to cool down all the burnt areas. Ahaks.
One of my favorite shots!
Well, more pictures to come up in the next post! Oh and to add, I’ve already started on my little Polaroid journal. ;) Do stay around till then, beautifuls.
