So, Valentine’s is just around the corner and have you started thinking about any plans as yet? :) Having had some little time on my hands, I decided to check out some love quotes and I found some very interestingly accurate ones. Yeah, this post is gonna be all about love quotes. Hee. Can’t help it – I’m a girl, and besides, it’s pretty fascinating to find out what others think about love. There’s that fuzzy feeling that you get when reading them, especially when they totally reflect both you and your beau. ;) I’ve identified quite a number, hurr. Have fun reading!
“We are all a little weird and life’s a little weird, and when we find someone whose weirdness is compatible with ours, we join up with them and fall in mutual weirdness and call it love.”
“Women wish to be loved not because they are pretty, or good, or well bred, or graceful, or intelligent, but because they are themselves. “
– Henri Frederic Amiel
“Anyone can be passionate, but it takes real lovers to be silly. “
– Rose Franken
“You come to love not by finding the perfect person, but by seeing an imperfect person perfectly.”
– Sam Keen
“The more I give to thee, the more I have, for both are infinite.”
– William Shakespeare
“Love doesn’t make the world go round, love is what makes the ride worthwhile.”
– Elizabeth Browning
“Love endures only when the lovers love many things together and not merely each other. “
– Walter J. Lippmann
“Among those whom I like or admire, I can find no common denominator, but among those whom I love, I can: all of them make me laugh. “
– W. H. Auden
“You can give without loving, but you can never love without giving. “
– Robert Louis Balfour Stevenson
Week three of classes are almost coming to an end already. Time really does fly, ay? How has your week been? :) I’ve been meaning to get started on my individual essay assignment which requires heaps of research but I can’t seem to get to it, yet. When I was just about to start enjoying my holidays, school reopened and here I am, once again, trying to get used to the workload of a second year student. And soon, third year. I should really get started on my work already. Mm. Another resolution to be met – Stop procrastinating. Heh heh.
In a week’s time, the boy turns twenty-three and I don’t know what to get him for his special day. I’m left with so much to do in this week and yet, so little time to plan something nice and sweet for him. Help? And being the avid card-maker I am, my creative juice is running out, sadly. :( Out of inspiration as well. More help needed!
This post is pretty much filled with specks of my rants and thoughts but I do promise I’ll make it up to you, lovelies, soon! Well, on the bright side, the sweetheart from Dancing Down Serendipity Street awarded me with an award – which happens to be my third award. Lucky number three, yes? Thanks, love! :))
Along with the award, this comes after;

Now, that’s some little insight about yours truly. Hope you enjoyed your little visit here. Have a beautiful rest-of-the-week, darlings!
It’s already Wednesday – how has the week been treating you so far? Just fine, I hope. I’ve been running around quite a bit throughout the week and also happened to chance upon a beautiful white cheongsam for Chinese New Year (Spring festival). I made it a point, some four years back, to always don a cheongsam on the first day of the festival. Soon, it’s gonna be a family affair, and I’m just so excited for that day to come where all the ladies in the family are beautifully dressed up in the traditional costume. Definitely a sight to behold. :)
On a different note, I came across some very pretty trinkets and flowers around the malls recently. All have seemed to really catch my attention. I go weak in the knees when I see all these pretty little things everywhere. Even if there’s nothing much to do, a glance at such beautiful displays would already make my day. I guess I’m quite easy to please, hehe. All these little aesthetically pleasing things truly makes each day a little extra fun and interesting. I find joy in such things, do you?
Also, not forgetting that the sweetheart from Love, S had awarded me with an award. It happens to be my second award, as well. Thanks bunches, S! :)
This should be it for now! Smile more because it has some sort of positive-happy-effect emotionally, hehe! It’s psychologically proven, by the way. ;) Do have a bright and lovely week ahead, darlings.
I met up with my girlfriends over some steamboat and had an interesting walk in the park after that. The park was absolutely beautiful and my favorite spot was where the Willow tree was. It was filled with heaps of greenery and night lights, I couldn’t have imagined any better. Well, at least for Malaysia. It was a really good night out and I truly enjoyed every moment of it. Being able to share it with these girls is definitely a blessing. They were my very first few friends when I just started out in college and we’ve kept in touch ever since. We have grown up so much as compared to how we were back in college, mere freshmen. They’re such beautiful souls, really.
The photos are rather grainy ‘cos of the camera we used – one that wasn’t too sharp and clear. Do bear with the quality, but it’s all about the moments that were captured that night, yes? :)
Sara and Rachel.
Myself and Alexa.
I’m so tired out from a whole day (& weekend) out and am about to crash on the bed soonish. Hope your weekend and Monday was just peachy! Till then, do have a pleasant week ahead, loves!
The past week has drained me quite a bit albeit filled with much fun. It was the best friend’s early twenty-first birthday celebration. Celebrating her twenty-first really made me reminisce about the younger days when we were just little kids. It’s funny how we met, really. She decided to share with me some of her gold fish biscuits that she had brought to choir practice and those biscuits were absolutely delicious! Well, who knew that that would be the start of a very beautiful friendship that has survived the many storms of life.

With the boy.
I just cannot share how much she has blessed me throughout the years of our friendship because it simply can’t be measured. I can say that she truly knows me inside out and there is nothing that she doesn’t not know about me. I am able to share almost everything with her and know that she’ll always be there no matter what, listening, and never passing any judgement at all. This is a friend, my best friend, one that I can truly count on. And here we are, some 12 years down the road, celebrating her twenty-first, and I’m more than glad to have her as my best friend.
Well, how about you, lovelies? How are both you and your best friend like? Do share! I’d love to know more. :)
I’m almost through with my first week of classes and I already feel the weight on my shoulders. It’s gonna be a crazy and hectic semester, no doubt about that. Funny enough, I never did realize that I’ve already taken all my second year subjects (inclusive of this semester) and will be taking my final year subjects next semester. The subjects that I’m taking this semester are all reading subjects (except the first one) – Advanced Quantitative Methods, Child Development, Adolescent & Adult Development, and Educational Psychology. They are all pretty much related so hopefully they wouldn’t confuse me too much.
The lecturers went through the course outlines and assignments and hoho, it’s not gonna be easy at all. I guess when you’re at the end of your second year, all these things only get tougher as the semesters go by. As of now, I foresee a lot of studying and research being done throughout, which also means no slacking at all. I gotta admit, it’s gonna be tough trying not to procrastinate.
I know I sound rather pessimistic in this post. But that is only because I feel the pressure and stress for this semester. I guess we’ll just have to see how things go. One step at a time, yes?
On another note, the bestfriend just left for Seattle this afternoon and I’m already missing her. We’ll definitely keep in touch through emails and skype. Ah, the wonders of technology. :)) Oh and yes, updates and photos about her early twenty-first birthday celebration will be up next!
Till then, have a gorgeous week ahead, huns!
I am pretty much done with organizing my new study table and bookshelf from Ikea. And I must say that I totally love it! I still do have some clutter here and there, and I’ve been thinking so hard about where to relocate them. You know how when you shift over, you’ve got all the little things around that you don’t know where to put them? Because when you relocate them, they seem to make things all messy and untidy again. But I guess I’m almost done with all the clutter around. The only things that are yet to be done are the hanging of my Polaroids, getting new boxes to organize my paper work as well as to arrange my art utensils in a structured way. Oh and yes, I need to buy some pretty magnets and a white board marker as well, to write on the built-in white board that comes with my table. Hehe.
That’s pretty much it about for today. Am off to have some steamboat for dinner on a cold and rainy night. Have a lovely Sunday, babes!
