I spoke to the bestfriend today after what seemed to be ages. Needed to speak to her so badly for quite a while now and it was so good. Can’t wait till all my dearest girlfriends come back! I’m counting the days, lovelies.
“Perfumes are the feelings of flowers.”
– Heinrich Heine; The Hartz Journey
I’m always excited to see sunshine – they make everything seem bright and beautiful than what the norm would pose. Even when the daily workload weighs you down, a little dose of sunshine would help turn your mood around. It is proven, I promise.
The past two weeks or so have been solely dedicated to me recuperating from a surgery. Well, I’m just glad that I’m pretty much alive and kickin’ right now, as compared to how I was last week. On some days, I’d feel all weak and drained, and on some, just peachy. Even when you’re at home resting, the workload keeps piling and piling – it never stops, even on Sundays. What ever happened to Sundays being the Sabbath when you’re forced to rest and not work?
It’s already Tuesday and I’m looking forward to Wednesday. And on Thursday, I’m going for a little retail therapy with some girlfriends. Can’t wait to see how that works out. I’m sure it’s gonna be much fun, definitely.
Oh my, this year has passed me by too quick. This also happens to be my last week of teenage-hood. November is just around the corner. Uh oh.
She stood at the front, whispering the same four words over and over again.
“I believe in You.”
And after she walked back, she realized something had changed.
Something had changed.
Piglet sidled up to Pooh from behind.
“Pooh!” he whispered. “Yes, Piglet?”
“Nothing.” said Piglet, taking Pooh’s paw.
“I just wanted to be sure of you.”
– A.A. Milne
I’ve been surrounded by pretty flowers for the past few days. It’s a lovely sight, I must say. Waking up to such cheery colors does have an effect for the pseudo-gloomy mornings or any day for that matter. Having Anna around definitely helps as well.
On a different note, the thought of having to forgo dancing this Christmas has really dampened my festive spirit this year. I’ve been looking forward to dance since Easter – its my only outlet to dance, only because I don’t have much time to take formal lessons. But now, dancing is a big no-no, well at least until next Easter.
Being homebound without choice, also having present the guilt of being totally jobless at home isn’t a happy thing. I really need to do something. I’ll try starting with mini revisions. Perhaps tonight. Perhaps.
And this reminds me that I need to buy more casual dresses, hehe. Trust me, I’ve got a valid reason for that. ;)
Ooh and there’s a masquerade ball at the end of the year and I love masquerade balls. The whole idea of dressing up in stunning dresses with gorgeously adorned masks, mm-hmm. :)
Thanks again, love.
I’ve been through quite a rocky road the past few days and am still needing a whole load of rest. :) At such a time like these, I have come to realize those who truly care are the ones whom I have dear to my heart. I’m more than grateful that God has placed them in my life. He’s been thoroughly merciful throughout too. Just so you know, I’ve got an amazing boyfriend and such thoughtful and caring friends who have stuck with me throughout the whole ordeal. Oh and I’ve got a new turtle friend too! Her name’s Anna. ;)
Anna’s a little shy, hee.
Also a week ago, the sweet Looking Glass Girl tagged me with a little random tag and here goes!
